Everyone that spends time on this beautiful European island has nothing but good things to say about their time here. If you're looking for authentic experiences to fill your time in Santorini, here are twenty of the best.

Without a doubt, the best way to get around Santorini island is by renting a quad bike. If you haven't experienced a quad bike before, Greece is the perfect place to do it! After a few days spent exploring the most popular towns of Fira, Firostefani, Imerovigli and Oia on foot, quad bikes offer the perfect way to get out of the towns and explore the rest of the island. From the wineries to the red, white and black beaches, there is a whole island to explore away from the main towns that you wouldn't even have noticed without the ease of a bike.

Due to the natural landscape of Santorini you often need to move away from the main towns of Fira, Firostefani and Oia to find some flat beaches that are great for longs days spent relaxing in the European summer heat. A couple of my favourites were Red Beach and Perissa & Perivolos, shown in the images below. Many of the beaches offer beach beds and umbrellas associated with the bars and restaurants on the shore, which means you can order food and cocktails right to your water front bed without even having to move!
