Santorini offers an endless list of things to do, see and experience for such a tiny island. From beaches to hot springs, volcanoes to steep donkey rides there is something for everyone. If you're looking for authentic experiences to fill your time in Santorini, here are twenty of the best.

A Quick Guide To Oia

Oia (pronounced I-a) is a picture perfect town found at the north of Santorini Island famous for it's epic sunsets, delicious seafood and blue-domed buildings that break up the white painted buildings all over the cliff side. A destination for locals, tourists and even cruise ship passengers, people flock into Oia in the hopes of experiencing the perfect European sunset. But there is so much more to Oia than the sunsets (although they are spectacular)!

Renting A Quad Bike In Greece

Without a doubt, the best way to get around Santorini island is by renting a quad bike. If you haven't experienced a quad bike before, Greece is the perfect place to do it! After a few days spent exploring the most popular towns of Fira, Firostefani, Imerovigli and Oia on foot, quad bikes offer the perfect way to get out of the towns and explore the rest of the island. From the wineries to the red, white and black beaches, there is a whole island to explore away from the main towns that you wouldn't even have noticed without the ease of a bike.

Beach Hopping in Santorini

Due to the natural landscape of Santorini you often need to move away from the main towns of Fira, Firostefani and Oia to find some flat beaches that are great for longs days spent relaxing in the European summer heat. A couple of my favourites were Red Beach and Perissa & Perivolos, shown in the images below. Many of the beaches offer beach beds and umbrellas associated with the bars and restaurants on the shore, which means you can order food and cocktails right to your water front bed without even having to move! Here are a few of the best beaches to hop around on Santorini Island.

Santorini Secrets: Bay Of Ammoudi

One of my favourite secret spots in Greece was the bluest water of the Bay of Ammoudi. I apologize for the long time between posts, things have been absolutely crazy for me between my regular job, wedding planning and organizing our honeymoon, and before you know it the days are flying past and it's been a whole month since a blog post (honestly didn't think it had been that long)! Things are only going to get crazier in the next few months leading up to Christmas and the wedding in February but I am going to make an effort to be much more regular, especially because I still have so much of Europe to share!

Exploring Fira & Firostefani

Landing in Santorini Airport was an experience I will never forget. Flying over the Greek Islands and the Aegean Ocean during sunset and then landing at one of the smallest airports I have been to so far was just completely different to what I was expecting, I'm not sure why! As soon as you arrive in the towns of Santorini you understand without a doubt what all the fuss is about. It's beautiful, stunning, breathtaking, all the things you have always imagined it would be and more.
