12 Hours in Johannesburg

Our last day in Africa was spent in Johannesburg. We only had one day to see as much as we could, before catching a flight back to Australia late at night.

Durban

It's surprising how much other countries can sometimes feel like home. Durban felt more like Melbourne than any other place we have travelled to so far.

Marc's Treehouse Camp

If you have the opportunity, everyone should spend a night sleeping in a treehouse amongst the South African wildlife.

The Lion King

The most magical moment of safari was spotting a pride of lions, including 6 baby lion cubs hiding amongst the reeds of the river.

Kruger National Park

Day two of our South African Safari included a whole day game drive roaming around Kruger National Park. It was probably the day I was most excited about out of our safari itinerary. A whole day game drive around Kruger National Park - driving around the natural home of the wildlife that roams around Africa. To say I was excited was an understatement. The day started bright and early at 6am. Since the entrance to Kruger was about an hour and a half drive from where we were started, we wanted to get on the road early!

Balule Game Reserve

An African Safari has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember, and my first experience in South Africa was nothing short of amazing.
