Vivonne Bay, Kangaroo Island

Vivonne Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever come across in the world. The water is exquisitely crystal clear and the sand is perfectly white! Hidden away by rocky cliffs, you could easily miss it if you didn’t know you were looking for it. We spent half the day exploring the almost completely deserted cliffs and sandbanks of Vivonne Bay, and it was such an amazing day. It seemed so crazy that despite being the middle of summer and school holidays, and even though the island was completely booked out, there were almost no people around and we had this whole beautiful place to ourselves.

If you’re looking to stay in the Vivonne Bay area there are lots of great airbnb’s around, as well as some lodge options. They do book out quite early for summer time and school holidays so make sure you book in advance. There is only one general store in Vivonne Bay where you can buy snacks, amenities and souvenirs, as well as hot food such as fish and chips and burgers.
Vivonne Bay is located on the South Coast of Kangaroo Island, 61km from Kingscote.
